The Skills Rink
ZerOne’s small ice rink provides a focused training environment that enhances player development across key areas such as Power Skating, Puck Control, and Small Area Games. The compact size is designed to force players to master their skills in a small area, which is how the game is now played at the highest level.
Depending on the course chosen, players can focus on:
- Skating – stride mechanics, edge control, and explosive movements
- Puck Control – stickhandling, puck protection, passing accuracy, and shooting in stride
- SAG’s – competitive drills and scrimmages in tight spaces improve quick thinking, reaction time, spatial awareness, and teamwork
- Goalie Powerskating – open to goalies of all ages, goalies will learn to be balanced, agile and mobile
- Hockey IQ – theory, positional payer and situational awareness
Shooting Lanes
ZerOne’s Shooting Lanes provide an optimal environment for developing hockey players’ shooting skills across four key areas: Accuracy, Power, Release, and Deception.
Based on the selected course, players can concentrate on:
- Accuracy – targeted drills to enhance their precision, consistently hitting specific targets and adjusting to quick-release situations
- Power – building the mechanics and strength for powerful shots, perfecting body positioning and shot technique
- Release – speed and effectiveness of their shot release, practicing quick-draw techniques and shooting from various positions
- Deception – drills teach players to fool goaltenders and defenders with fake shots and varied release points, fostering creativity and cunning on the ice.
When registering for a course on the Shooting Lanes, players will also participate in an Off-Ice Strength & Core Training session designed to support and enhance the skill focus of the course, ensuring quality repetition and error detection and correction both on and off the ice.
Skating Treadmills (Skatemills)
ZerOne’s Skating Treadmills, designed by HDTS, are designed to enhance player performance through focused training. These Skating Treadmills are specialized training devices using a synthetic surface that mimics ice, allowing players to train their skating in a consistent and controlled training environment. Equipped with AI-based diagnostic systems, sensors, cameras, and a range of resistance options, real-time feedback will be provided consistently and with the help of a professional coach. This innovative tool is essential for enhancing skating skills, endurance, and overall performance for hockey players at all levels.
When registering for a course on the Skating Treadmills, players will also participate in an off-ice Stride Performance session designed by Premier Strength (link to www.premierstrength.com) to support and enhance the posture, strength and technique required for attain skating mastery.
Dryland Training
Designed by Premier Strength, ZerOne’s Off-Ice Training Program was created by experts who understand what is required to play the game at the highest level. The off-ice portion of all ZerOne programs is guaranteed to support the quality repetition required to ensure the most improvement in the least amount of time. The players’ ability to perform at the highest level on the ice requires Posture, Mobility and Strength, and must be trained consistently and at the most appropriate development level in order to have the most impact on the athlete’s on ice skill and game play.
True Movement
The True Movement Method is a three-dimensional movement system that focuses on stability, mobility and strength. Classes are chosen to complement the area of skill development by enhancing overall athleticism targeting the core, legs, and upper body, and building the endurance and power needed for sustained peak performance.
Hockeyology Media Centre
The ZerOne Hockeyology facility includes a state-of-the-art media centre, equipped with a large-screen TV’s, seating area, and boardroom table, designed to enhance the learning experience for hockey players, coaches, and teams. This media centre will be used to recap lessons, analyze hockey games and tactics, and present Athleticare partner programs. Through watching and discussing video content, players can visualize techniques, understand game strategies, and identify areas for improvement. This immersive learning environment fosters a deeper understanding of the game, promotes strategic thinking, and supports the overall development of players’ skills and hockey IQ.
The Ice Palace
The Ice Place offers a comprehensive full-ice experience designed to advance your skills through drills, combines, skill competitions, position-specific training, skill acquisition camps, scrimmages, and tournaments.

- Celebrity and Specialty Camps will be provided at the Ice Palace and are available at discounted rates for Hockeyology Members
- Mini Memberships for U7 and U9 players (too young for Hockeyology Memberships)
