Offensive Skating & Skills Camp with Fernando Pisani & Vanessa Hettinger

Welcome to the ZerOne Hockeyology Offensive Skills Camp, an exclusive, small group, hockey training experience designed to take your scoring abilities to the next level! This camp is led by two highly accomplished hockey professionals, Fernando Pisani and Vanessa Hettinger, who bring years of elite-level experience and passion for the game.

Program Overview:

The Offensive Skills Camp is designed for U13 players who are looking to elevate their offensive game. Our focused training sessions will cover everything from perfecting your dynamic skating skill to enhancing your ability to read the game and create scoring opportunities. Under the guidance of Pisani and Hettinger, you’ll gain valuable insights into the intricacies of offensive hockey and develop your skills in a fun, challenging environment.

Throughout the camp, you’ll engage in:

• Skating Technique: Master the fundamentals of speed, agility, and explosive power while enhancing your ability to change direction quickly and efficiently.
• Puck Handling: Master the art of puck control and dekes to break down defenders and create scoring chances.
• Playmaking: Focus on vision, passing accuracy, and creating plays that lead to goals.
• Offensive Zone Strategies: Understand how to position yourself in the offensive zone, read plays, and find open ice to generate chances.

This camp offers on-ice training, as well as access to our world class ZerOne Hockeyology facility to continue to practice the skills learned on full-ice.

Please note that this is not a learn-to-play program. In order to participate, players must be playing U13 hockey at a minimum Tier 1 level in the upcoming season.

Meet Your Coaches:

Fernando Pisani

• • As a key player for the Edmonton Oilers during their run to the 2006 Stanley Cup Final, Fernando Pisani’s timely goals and steady play made him one of the most dependable offensive contributors on the team.
  • Known for his scoring ability in high-pressure moments, Pisani’s unique ability to create offense with speed, vision, and strong puck control made him a standout in the NHL.
  • As a former Scout for the Montreal Canadiens and Skills Coach for the Edmonton Oil Kins, Pisani brings decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge to the camp, specializing in developing shooters, goal-scorers, and players who can step up when the game is on the line.

Vanessa Hettinger

• • Having worked with some of the top offensive players at the pro level, including Connor Bedard, Dylan Guenther, Parker Kelly, and Daniel Carr, Vanessa Hettinger is dedicated to helping you elevate your offensive skating. With an extensive career in both hockey and skating development, Vanessa has worked with thousands of athletes across all skill levels, from novice to pro. She has won 3 WHL Championships and a Memorial Cup Championship as a Skating Coach with three different WHL organizations. As a Master Coach for ZerOne Hockeyology, Skate Canada, and Hockey Canada, Vanessa is deeply passionate about supporting young athletes and coaches to reach their full potential at the highest levels of the game.
