Code of Conduct
We hold Hockeyology to one standard: a positive, respectful, and safe environment for everyone who trains here, watches, or uses the facility. Everyone on the premises is expected to follow the guidelines below.
Respect Always
Treat every coach, athlete, staff member, and guest with respect and courtesy. Harassment, bullying, and discrimination will never be tolerated.
Safety First
Follow all staff instructions, wear the gear required for your activity, and report any hazard the moment you see it.
Show Up Ready
Arrive in suitable sportswear and your base layer, focused and prepared to put in the work.
Open-Door Dressing Rooms
All players arrive with their under-gear on. Dressing room doors stay open, and players and parents may be walking in and out at any time.
Keep It Clean
Use appropriate language at all times. Profanity, yelling, and offensive gestures have no place at Hockeyology.
Leave It Better
Use the bins, respect the equipment, and leave every space the way you found it.
Clear Heads Only
No illegal drugs, substances, or alcohol on the premises. Anyone under the influence will be asked to leave.
Policies & procedures
If the Code is broken
Failing to follow this Code of Conduct may result in:
- A verbal or written warning.
- Temporary suspension or a ban from the facility.
- Immediate expulsion from the facility without refund, for severe violations.
- Involvement of law enforcement in cases of illegal activity.
Reporting a violation
If you witness any violation of this Code, report it to a staff member immediately. We handle all reports confidentially and take the necessary action in line with our policies.
Photography & privacy
Photography and video are permitted only with prior consent from facility management, or during authorized events. Respect the privacy of others and never use technology in a way that disrupts a session or event.
Membership termination
Memberships carry a 3-month minimum commitment, then roll over monthly. We require 30 days notice by email to terminate. Send terminations to front.desk@zerone.ca.
Class cancellations & no-shows
We require 24 hours notice for any cancellation or change to a session on Hockeyology property. Less than 24 hours notice is treated as a no-show. We hold ourselves to the same notice period and will not cancel your session at the last minute.
- Late cancellation fee: $10.00 per late-cancelled session.
- No-show fee: $25.00 per missed session.
Camps, programs & Ice Palace packages
We require a minimum of 7 business days notice to cancel or change a camp, program, session, or Ice Palace package. With that notice, we issue a credit minus a $25 administrative fee. Credits must be used within one full calendar year and are non-transferable.
Cancellations made within 7 days receive a 50% credit only with a doctor's note. All other cancellations made within 7 business days are non-refundable.
How to cancel
All cancellations are made through the Mindbody / ZerOne Canada app.
Suspensions & leaves of absence
- Medical (an injury or illness that prevents you from using the facility): your membership can be put on hold with no fee for up to 4 weeks. A doctor's note is required.
- All other holds carry a fee and are limited to a maximum of 4 weeks per calendar year.
- Personal suspension: members may suspend once per calendar year for up to 4 weeks, for a fee of $29.99 + GST.
Training & restricted areas
To protect the focus and safety of every athlete, we ask parents not to enter training areas during sessions. Locker rooms, staff-only areas, and restricted zones are off-limits during regular training hours. If your player needs help getting dressed, please assist them and then step out of the training area.
New members and teams receive a guided tour of the facility on their first visit. For questions about your child's training, speak with the Manager-On-Duty after the session or email hockeyology@zerone.ca.
Lost & found
Items left behind are held for up to one month, after which unclaimed items are removed. Please check for your belongings before you leave.
Parents, please stay clear of training areas during sessions. Photography and video only with staff consent. By using the facilities at Hockeyology you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
Every participant signs the waiver
All athletes complete the digital liability waiver once, before their first session on the ice.
